RN SK Crew awarded 2008 Breitling Award

A Royal Navy 771 Sqn Sea King crew from Culdrose has been awarded the 2008 Breitling Award for Aviation Heroism for a rescue performed on 2nd July 2007 (http://www.mod.uk/DefenceInternet/DefenceNews/MilitaryOperations/HelicopterCrewInArduous11hourCaveRescue.htm). Well done the dark blue (and the RAF Medic). The background story as to why the 2 casualties were in the cave is quite amusing. Men on the moon in 1969 but a reliable winchman's radio is still a technological dream.:ok:
