I used to work with Jerry Goatham in his early RAF days, any idea if he is still serving or where he moved onto ? Last I heard was that he had achieved 3 rings and was on a presentation team in the early 90's

Jerry is now out and flying for a civie company in Portugal. His wife has gone with him- if you listen carefully, you can still hear her...:E

Ah, that explains it.
Julie, who baked groeous cakes but did not eat them, was gassing with another Ops Officer (Horsey and horses ring a bell) while the idiot box - the RT between the tower and the Emergency State 3 aircraft was burbling in the background.
When it stopped and they stopped I asked them what the RT message and ES3 was - blank looks. It was not a telephone call so they had ignored it.:}
