Anyone know if this can be done in Irish Arispace??

How would i go about organising it?? It would be on a privatly owned Heli.
I have heard of people traning on a N reg heli up north for a Faa PPL(H) so was wondering if it can be done this way.

Chers

I am tempted to say, stop trying to fudge the system and either go through the IAA or CAA systems, north or south. Possibly not an answer to your question, but an opinion. You may have problems renewing your rating (Biennial), and obviously you will always have issues like this that you don't have answers to, as opposed to having qualified people easily available to answer your questions.
Best of luck either way.

The primary reason for looking at this option is the guy who wants to learn on it is only in his first year of college & its grand being able to fly now while he has access to a Heli, but when college is over & he has to fend for himself in the big bad world, the heli probably won’t be available, if a mortgage is on the books & just starting out with a crap job to make his way in the world, flying probably won’t be possible for a good few years & at least then his money spent on an FAA PPL(H) won’t be totally wasted when he can afford to fly again. Get a medical, for safety do a few hours with someone & you are up up and away………

I accept some people are anti FAA pilots flying around Ireland & the UK, but it not something that is going to change in the near future.
