FAA>JAA - Exam Validity?

I have a FAA PPL, the JAA PPL RT practical Test & the 14 JAA ATPL's passed.

My question is, do I need to sit the JAA PPL HPL & Air Law Exams still in order to obtain my JAA PPL from the CAA? I ask because I was exempt from the PPL RT writtens due to having the ATPL Comms exams passed and only needed the practical. Is the same true having done the ATPL HPL & Air Law exams?

If you have less than 100 hrs as pilot of airplanes (I don't know if that means PIC or total time,you might have to ask the CAA what that means exactly)..............>

The holder of a current and valid PPL(A) issued
by an ICAO Contracting State (not being a JAA
Member State), who has flown less than 100
hours as pilot of aeroplanes, will be required to
pass all JAR theoretical knowledge
examinations

If 100 or more hrs

The holder of a current and valid PPL(A)* issued
by an ICAO Contracting State (not being a JAA
Member State), who has flown a minimum of 100
hours as pilot of aeroplanes, will be required to
pass written examinations in Air Law and Human
Performance and Limitations. (If no valid
aeroplane rating has been held in the 5 years
preceding application, then all JAR theoretical
knowledge exams would need to be passed).

100 hrs as pilot of aeroplanes means 100 hrs TT.

I can't believe the CAA would make you sit PPL exams if you have a pass at ATPL level.

honestly i still can't believe they make us sit the 14 exams to begin with!!!!

they enjoy it.

since torture chambers are no longer legal, they must find something else to do!!!
