Ex-AAC Beaver Pilots

Can anyone please help one of our Air Cadets who is doing a project on the DHC Beaver aircraft. To date he has managed to obtain quite a bit of info but it is mostly historic and he would like to incorporate a bit more detail and to that end would be grateful for a photocopy etc of a set of Pilots Notes for the type.

Any copying costs will be re-imbursed and any such assistance much appreciated.

He will also find useful - and certainly enjoy - Alex Kimbell's book "Think Like a Bird".

It won't give him the Pilot's Notes, but he'll get some invaluable role relation.

Try this website and contacting the administrator, he seems to know everything about the history of this aircraft!

There was at least one turbine Beaver operating in this country until it was involved in an accident (sadly fatal for the pilot) at Headcorn last year. The 'Black Beaver' was used as a sports parachuting jumpship in the UK and Europe for a number of years until its demise. Interesting variation on a theme..

Viking Air recently (within the last 18 months) obtained the type certificates for the DHC-2 from Bombardier, and were exploring whether or not there was demand to put it back into production.
