This may help:
Tax Refund for Visitors to Spain
You qualify for a tax refund if:
you are not a resident of Spain
you have original receipts
each individual receipt for your goods shows a minimum purchase amount of 90,15 euros
you have taken the goods out of the country within 3 months of the date of purchase
To claim a refund,
Obtain from the shop a 'Tax Free' receipt for purchases of 90,15 euros. Have your receipts stamped at Customs on leaving the country (or on leaving the last country visited in the European Union). Once validated, depending on the agreements that the suppliers where the goods were bought may have established with the bank or with designated agencies, you may, to obtain a refund either
a) present these receipts for reimbursement at the Change Office of the bank in the international zone of the Spanish airport
b) mail, from the airport, your application for refund with the receipts in the envelope provided to that effect by the supplier, to their designated agency that will handle your application and which will withhold administration fees for that service.
c) mail, from the airport or on arrival, your application and receipts directly to the commercial supplier who should reimburse the tax withheld within 15 days of receiving your request for refund.
