Come on you chaps. Let’s see some interesting happenings or dodgy rumours or controversial comments. Need a chance to engage in a discussion chaps. The weather in my local is crap and loafing around the log fire scanning the internet and trying to avoid numerous festive shopping trips is proving tiresome.
Help,

You think you got cold temps---This is where I am at right now--KBIS..

"Today: A slight chance of flurries. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 17°F. Wind chill values as low as -25°F. South wind between 8 and 10 mph. "

Anyone got colder?

yip I think

-23 deg C, blowing about 20kt, but sunny, not bad with the heater on, just feel for the guys below the 100ft line :ok:

still -23 but now blowing 30kts plus, little chilly!

Bloody freezing, but still no match for the enforced trips out to fill up the house with grub and other stuff in preparation for the festive season.
Presently we have no snow, unlike a particularly unpleasant Christmas near Aberdeen in the eighties, snowed in for over a week and no power. The only bright spot was a visit from the RAF ASR Sea King, landed in our field during a particularly bad snow storm after seeing the outside lights. A great night was had by all, a severe reduction of the booze stock but it was well worth it.

Yo Skidbiter2--- Minus 23 C is warmer than minus 25 F.

From Skidbiter -23 deg C, blowing about 20kt

According to your temp conversion chart: -23C is -9,4F
From http://www.onlineconversion.com/speed_common.htm we find that 20 kts is 23 mph
and according to http://www.weather.gov/os/windchill/index.shtml the chillfactor of -23C. at 23 mph is: about -36F,
which is a tad colder than your 17F with -25F chillfactor!!:ok:

I heard a rumour that the CAA charges were going to skyrocket on the next round.

How about this for a lighthearted thread? Oall the people who should be taken out and shot, who would you choose? Mine would be DIYers who use wood screws where they should be using electrical ones.

Point taken---In my haste, I miss-read his bit about the wind...
