The Giriffin Site is one of the most useful sites I have ever been pointed in the direction of! The chap needs a medal; a lot of hard work has gone into that and we are lucky enough to use it for free!! (Edit: Did Sid's link / message to it get removed while I was typing this?)

On the subject of Warwick Racecourse, I didn't realise it was listed as a helipad; and I am relatively local.

Obviously not flown into it, so next comments with a pinch of salt, but is it not too near the town centre (ie congested area)? Also the golf course is in the middle of it, which is open on non racing days!

Anybody actually flown in there?

Warwick Racecourse contact - 01926 491553.
If you look at the "griffin helicopters" site as mentioned by Helicraig and go to the landing sites link you will find it. Got some good photos showing the site.

If you look at the picture the landing area is the south-eastern edge about a third of the way up the site (north). There a couple of football? pitches and a very small windsock on the southern pitch. If you need any more info the racecourse are very helpfull. (They did not charge us when I went there!) It is a fair distance from the stand but they sent a car for the boss when we landed.

Don't forget your Rule 5(2c) permission, which I believe you need due to the proximity to the congested area. :ok:
