I have been critical of the rostering here at Spicejet and for the most part I have been justified. With the holidays approaching many of the expats are leaving for X-mas and so December will be a crunch month. Having said all that I must give credit where it is due. On the occasions that it was imperative that I was off, Jack Ekl, Chief Pilot has made sure it happened.
For example, my wife & I were invited to the Opera (Italian troupe) in Delhi tonight. I spoke to Jack and he did the needful. I flew late last night and into this morning so I could have the evening off today. A few weeks ago we were invited to an awards ceremony and I was able to attend that as well.
I still am flying a whole bunch but there is some flexibility with rostering if you state your case. Just trying to do the "fair & balanced" FOX NEWS thing. Not sure if you could have this kind of flexibility elsewhere?
