I think Kestrel have a 212 at the moment for the fire season, Australian have 412's at Oakey, Horn Island and Adelaide. Careflight QLD have a 412 at the Gold coast and Wespac at Newcastle, but I don't think they would do endorsement training.
CHC have plenty all over the place but don't know if they will train external folk..
I think Kestrel would be the best bet for 212 and Australian for 412.
Also check Heli-Aust Bankstown but the 212 they have is Canadian so I don't know about the legalities there???
Good Luck and Have fun they are great to fly the old trucks!!

Dave Bashir is the CP at the Gold coast at the moment, Jeremy is still galavanting around with the rich white boat crowd...

Crikey, I'd hate to think what a 10hr 412 endorsement with 1 week of systems ground-school would cost, it would have to be in the $40k+ price range. That's a fair chunk of cash to lay down, hopefully you've got something lined up to make use of it.

Thanks so far for all responces so far, I wont have to foot the bill, lucky! Have already checked with CHC they cannot do as mentioned, Careflight have rang three times over the past 5 days, but no response back yet. Kestrel is tied up till March due the fire contract.. Any alternate suggestions O/S?

G'day PP,

Helicorp at Essendon have a 205, a 212 and a 412. Worth a call to RdS I would think.

Cheers,

Hey Spin, Since when did ADA offer 412 endorsements to non-Arabs? If they're doing it now, that's got to be a sign on the present state of affairs in the industry.

Flight Safety is between 20-26,000 USD depending on the deal you can work, still only the simulator so will need AC hrs to complete. Any gulf company will need turbine experience and IR plus a good CV minimum. GHC may look at you with an attractive CV + IR and turbine hrs. Nothing lost possible gain.

You could always try HNZ. They have a couple of 412/212 based in New Plymouth NZ. Closer and greener than the Gulf.

Maybe try Pacific Helicopters in PNG, they may be able to help. You will probably have to do a PNG conversion exam first though.
