Well the DXB airshow has started and not even a whisper of intent by EY and JH as to any new acquisitions. Figuring that a little marketing to place an order would be within his strong suit. Opportunity missed. The observations: the Locals in BAH or AUH have the habibi market sewn up. Untrue.The reality is Habibi favours are not exclusive to targeting locals. JH has appointed his gang and has awarded them well above industry salaries.Some have limited time at GF as their only airline experience. When it is allowed to go unchecked at the top why is it not ok to run at the sub levels? The locals are the ones getting f$#%ed over when the circus leaves town.
How about the nex PCE taking on a salary of 1 Dirham for the year and would get compensated on results. Is that not what they are hired for? Growing the business and making returns in the mean time?
EY has potential. Make no mistake about it. For the salary that they are paying for the top job-even the most well respected aviation leaders would come to dinner.

It was bad enough having his BMI cronies at GF on "normal" expat salary scales, having them in Etihad on VP salaries is beyond contention plain poversight in a business where the same competencies are paid much less by an airline that is much better (EK).

Worse, Hogguie will leave behind another a Gulf Air legacy that will be the undoing of Etihad. Many ot the transfers from GF competent staff into major managerial positions at EY are unjustified (Airport managers, Crew, Marketing, training, etc...) who will reckon with them once he leaves?


As someone said in a deleted thread, Aussie management is doing wonders, and probably leaving behind it a negative wake for those who will wish to follow.in

EY is not even able to afford any stand or display at Dubai Airshow, as other EK QR do......

Sounds like Abu Dhabi Masters can't afford to waste any more money into clowns.......

Boeing and Airbus, as other aircraft part suppliers are still laughing at EY choices...... But what to expect from Low Cost managers.....

One of the wealthiest capital city not able to have a decent airline .....
