I cannot find any published figures hence the question:- Is the R44 raven 2 appreciably less neighbour friendly (i.e. noisier from outside ) than an R22?

The R44 II handbook gives details of the noise at 500ft AGL, I think its 55Dba. I dont think there is one published for the R22 but I would guess its lower than that.

All recent 22s and 44s in the UK have to carry a CAA Noise certificate in the docs. The 44 Raven 2 is 81dB.
In reality, these land out side my office daily. I'd say the R44 is noisier in volume - but a more pleasant sound than the 22. R22 TR is particularly annoying.
