An interesting tale about FMQs at RAF Portreath, Cornwall and old mine shafts opening up underneath them:

A bit of a cursed area for problems with what lies beneath, has anyone heard how the clean-up from its use as a chemical weapons establishment is going?

O/T a bit but why has Portreath had its runway refurbished? Or was the NOTAM about construction vehicles on the runway for something else?
