Does anyone know anything about the Virgin flight VS003 to JFK that returned to LHR after departure with some sort of engine problem?

My friend is on it, stuck on the ground at LHR. He has nothing but praise of how the incident was handled initially, but he has not been impressed with the way passengers have been treated once they were on the ground.

No idea, but the VS 3 checked into Gander this morning on HF around 23.50z... hope that helps?

Thanks everyone. My friends eventually landed in JFK at midnight local having departed LHR (the first time) at 0930. Not a great start to the holiday. :(
