has any one heard about the u.a.e. getting ch 47's
there is an agency in auh is looking for people to work this contract.
no one i know in the uae has any info on this.
any real info please. thanks

I was stood nest to the Static Chinook at Fairford 2004, when two chauffer driven Jags with blacked out windows pulled up. Two foreign looking gentlemen emerged and started asking very pointed questions. I answered them and instilled the virtues of the Chinook and was just about to ask a few pointed questions myself, when he burst out laughing, said 'That is very good, I've just bought ten'.
It was the Minister for defence from the UAE, and a thoroughly nice bloke he was too. Managed to flog him a load of Robinson Tanks and a big order of M134's. I think I got a key ring out of the deal.

Yes they have some and yes the odd other (or is it other odd) Odiham ex pats mingle about in them!
