Hallo

I’m flying Ryanair from Stansted to Pescara in Italy at the weekend. Last year the Pescara Airport authorities imposed quite strict luggage restrictions for flights out of Pescara to Stansted. The rules banned passengers from carrying electrical items in hand luggage, such as digital cameras and mp3 players: they had to be placed in checked-in luggage instead.

This was written about on the DT website here:

One of the comments in reply quotes a message from the Italian airport authorities claiming that the restrictions were lifted soon after, but another reply with a later date claims the restrictions were re-introduced.

Has anyone flown this route recently who can comment on their experience of taking a digital camera or mp3 player in your hand luggage back from Pescara?

I will try to contact Ryanair tomorrow but if anyone has other information I’d be grateful to hear it.

I really don’t want to have to pack an expensive camera in my checked-in luggage!

TIA
