Just booked a cruise to celebrate my 10th Anniversary and will land at LA but have to get to San Diego. I will arrive at around 18.30, short of getting a cab could I get a heli ride to San Diego (Hotel Del Coronado) and if so by whom. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

It will cost you $1,500.00 and up, I can point you in the right direction if still interested.

There are shuttles which are cheaper....

Probably a lot LOT cheaper to book a short haul airline fare from LA to SD...even if you choose to do the heli flight, you won't likely be able to go door to door...most likely end up a the SD airport then about a 15 minute taxi ride to the Hotel Del.

Hope this helps,

Since bvgs didn't ask for a cheap solution we should point him into the right direction:

LA Helicopter (http://www.ushelicopters.com/) out of Long Beach

Civic (http://www.civichelicopters.com/) out of Carlsbad

Hope this helps.

Have you confirmed that the Hotel Del has a helipad?
I only ask because I've been there several times over the years while staying with friends in San Diego and haven't noticed one. Worth checking because the hotel is virtually under one of the flightpaths to the adjacent North Island Naval Air Station. Not as much flying as there used to be, but it was still quite active a few weeks ago. (Excellent close-up views of various mil helicopters and even a few F-18s. :) )
All that said, I may be being over-cautious - the Navy controllers have always been very accommodating when I've flown in the bay area so there may be no problem.
If there isn't a helipad at the hotel, Lindbergh Field is less than 10 miles away, and there may be other helipads even closer.

Enjoy your visit. It's a very beautiful part of the world, with the best climate in America. :ok:

I recommend Helistream (www.helistream.com) in Costa Mesa, John Wayne Airport.
