Not sure i'd be comfortable with coaxial teetering, although there seems to be good clearance. Must admit to not being able to see any dynamic headaches in making though, since both rotor TPPs should stay parallel.
Any thoughts?

Maybe I'm going on ancient history here and letting it cloud my Judgement, but when I see 'Rotax' and helicopter in the same spec sheet, I get a little nervous. I'm probably wrong, but then thats the gut for you.
It does look like a fun machine though. What's with the 'Ballistic recovery system' they talk of? Any clues on that?

Isn't that where they shoot the chute up through the blades, and then let you float gently down under the canopy?
The ATI 496 ultrasport helicopter had (has?) an option to put a BRS on top of the mast. It spins around with the rotor. There is a cable running down the mast and secured to the machine. I assume there is a bearing in there somewhere. So, something bad like mast bumping happens, you shoot the chute like a Cirrus.

Would some of you folks out there who are professional helicopter pilots be willing to pass on your thoughts on these machines?
I fly a Boeing 737 freighter for a living......would love to buy a (safe) toy helicopter.
The Russians have been producing co axial rotor helicopters for years....are they ok?

I would love to see more details of the rotor heads and control systems. Appears to have pretty good controllability - interesting to note that it didn't go very fast in the first video (didn't watch the second one).
Anyone know the Vne???

LMAO..
Not much room for luggage on the one seat version... and I think I would inlude a "no smoking" sign as standard... Probably place it on the fuel tank situated at eye level next to my HEAD!!!
Oh and throw in a rain mac and goggles for good measure...
