Not really a computer question, but does anyone know how much current is allowed to flow through 2.5mm mains (240v) cable.

It's not part of a ring, and it's aprox 7m long.

Thanks.- I'm trying to work out the rating for an in line circuit breaker.

Nominal current-carrying capacity of general-purpose, two-core, PVC-insulated copper cables at 30 degrees celcius. Source: IEE Wiring Regulations table 4D2A

Conductor size/Enclosed in a wall/Enclosed in conduit/Clipped to a surface/Free
2.5mm/18.5/23/27/30amps.

Lot's of new regs re cables to sheds gingernut. Dead of night job I suspect though;)
