I was sure I could hear Merlins ... a few minutes ago (12:03) all the hairs on the back of my neck stood up as the BBMF Lancaster came growling over the Mount and Jack Straw's Castle and passed at around 1,500ft over my home at the top of Hampstead, north London, heading northwest.
I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who keep her flying. It means a huge amount to so many people - even in leftie-liberal Hampstead.

It was to commemorate the 500,000th presentation of the Armed Forces Veteran's badge on HMS Belfast - there was also a Typhoon behind it trying to keep up :}

You're supposed to be presented them? Mine was thrown at me by the bored stacker in Clothing Stores when I de-kitted.
