Evening

Just a quick question - I'm flying London to Singapore in the second week of November. Assuming there are no more delays in the delivery schedule, am I going to be lucky enough to get on the A380? I called the airline to ask, but the response I was given was 'No, it will be a 757'....which can't be right.

Cheers!

I doubt it. I think it will operate Singapore to Sydney for a while.

Cheers,

Singapore fly 747 400s from Heathrow (i take it this is where you are flying from) at the moment no one really knows when the A380 will start although the AFFRS are prepping for early Nov.:hmm:

Currently they are talking about SIN - SYD leg only to begin with. You would be better getting to Zurich or Frankfurt and picking up the 777-300ER. Cheaper probably, and avoids the cesspit that is LHR.

SIA will operate the A380 on the SIN-SYD-SIN route only, until next year when more a/c arrive to enable the LHR route to be flown. Until then, the 3 SIA daily flights from LHR-SIN will be B747-400s.

I think I'll let the A380 run a few years, before I use it. So any unpredicted 'technical issues' will hopefully have been sorted.
