Hi this was sent to me on 23rd July

We thought this would be a good time to update you on the situation regarding
the Wings ATP Selection Programme.

We are currently working our way through our hold pool and have considerably
reduced this.

However, this time of year is historically not the most active in terms of
airline placement. There has also been a lot of consolidation in the industry of
late, particularly between some of our Partner Airlines, which has led to a
cessation in pilot recruitment in the short term, and we are finding this is
following through by currently low placement activity from the hold pool.

As previously stated, it is not always easy to predict when and where the demand
will come from, and we should see continued activity and placement over the
coming weeks and months.

However, it is a little early to reopen the Selection Programme at this time but
we expect to reopen this to continue with applications at the end of the Autumn.

Your application will be restarted at the same phase as you were at when we put
a hold on recruitment.

We will update you as and when the situation changes.

If in the meantime you have found other employment, please advise us and we will
withdraw your application for you

Reduced the hold pool???

Looking at the CTC Atpers thread they have not reduced the pool for some time. However I think respect for the letter from CTC although it does look bleak for the ATP scheme.

I am left wondering if they will ever restart or empty the pool. Looking at the partner airlines most are amalgamating or fully crewed at present.

What about the cadet scheme do they take priority over the ATP scheme?

Maybe it's time for CTC to look at Eastern Europe or India.
