Hi, I'm from Australia and I was wondering if you have to have USA citizenship to be a NASA Research pilot or not?

As long as you're between 17 and 23, have at least 1000 hrs on Microsoft Flight Sim and can tie your shoelaces, you'll be eligible for their fast track test pilot scheme. Good luck.:ok:

How about having a look on their website, and if it doesn't say there, try contacting them. You may want to consider a few intermediate steps first, like getting a PPL, then joining the RAAF. Just a thought.

Citizenship
With the exception of the Senior Executive Service (SES), NASA positions almost always require US citizenship. The vacancy announcement will specify if citizenship is required. If you are not a U.S. citizen, you may wish to consider opportunities with one of our International Space Partners.
