I'm at university and am putting together a project. I was wondering if someone knew the length of runway required to land either a light aircraft i.e. PA34 or even a 727. I understand that it might be a case of 'how long is a piece of string' with weight, petrol etc - but what I'm looking for is if the plane was at it's lightest etc what is the miniumn it would require. For instance could you land a PA34 on a F1 piece of track??

all responses - sensible - appreciated.
thanks.

What do you mean by "F1" track? Formula 1????

Your best bet is to go onto the manufacturer's websites for all aircraft types you are looking for for the minimum published figures - at least they are official.

For any aircraft out of production, I'm sure a thorough websearch would assist you.

That's pretty much what a lot of people would do on here to assist you.

If is an excellent source of the information you want.
