Hi,

Can someone confrim that a beaver has hydralic flaps and how does this system work.

If someone can answer this it would be a great help in settling a debate.

Thanks

The Beaver does indeed have hydraulic flaps. It's an up/down selector on the floor at the R/H base of the Pilot's seat, with a lever type handpump to actuate them sitting next to it. The hydraulic reservoir is under the seat. Flap selection is indicated by a moving indicator tab on the instrument panel in front of the pilot's eyes.

Enough info? If not, send me a PM.

Do twin otters also use the same system?

I doubt whether there are a lot of private pilots flying twotters and the like. You might want to try the tech log forum.
