I've just seen a posting on another thread that NOTAM J3816/07 refers to the test flight being on Fri 07 Sep 07. :D

For several reasons I'd be very surprised if a NOTAM was that specific about one particular day for the first test flight.
The NOTAM posted HERE (http://www.pprune.org/forums/showpost.php?p=3472251&postcount=145) mentions a number of dates when test flights may happen.

What exactly would be involved in the run up to first flight, and what tasks would be carried out on that 1st flight and subsequent missions?

OK then, test flights - for an Ex Nuclear Strike bomber. Very civil.
