Hi everyone!

I'm thinking of applying for a self funded type rating with storm aviation with 300 hours on type. The finance is an issue at the moment. However can anyone tell me their experiences with Storm Aviation as a company, or has anyone actually done their A320 type rating, and did you have any problems, such as waiting before line training? Also what is their asssessment procedure. Any help much appreciated.

Thanks guys. :ok:

Dont waist your money on paying for line-training... you can get a job without the hours as well...

I am also considering it, a friend went through the process last year, worked in Poland for a few months then was taken on by Monarch. Not a bad score by all accounts :)

I have over a 1000 hours with the licence, MCC etc..... and not a whisper from anyone not expecting you to pay for your rating. Might as well be with storm as anyone else. There are plenty of jobs out there for someone with 300 hours on type...........

1000 hours on single engine is not worth anything...
Do a type-rating and you'll see that you can get a job...
SN Brussels are offering jobs for bonding the TR. Apply to them!! But not on the A320,.. only on RJ100 and 737

Its a shame thats what I was told last year by Operators, go get a 1000 hours kid then we will talk.............

The joy of ever changing goal posts.

Still, this time last year, no-one would touch you with a TR and no hours!

How times change :ugh:

Seems like a good deal to me. £23000 for an A320 type + 300 (very valuable) hours on the line? That's got to be a good price surely??

23000?

I'm sure glad I didn't sign up for their training 4 months ago. Back then the price was 30'000 for the same deal...

The price is if you have a 1000 hous already, its still 30k if you havent....and its also only if you go for the Indigo route. NOT Europe.

Anyone any idea how much their course is if you haven't got 1000 hours and plan for the Europe route? More than £30,000? Their website doesn't seem to mention prices.

Thank you all.

Alicia,

The prices are £23000 for India (1000hrs required) or £30000 for Europe (1500 hrs required). I don't think they accept you with hours less than those stated above. Hope that helps.

Wow, that's interesting.

250hrs for the European programme (which is out of my budget) but the India programme is still 1000 hrs I believe.

Just as well I like my curries!!!:ok:
