Hi

Can anyone tell me on Saturday what time will Man be using 23 L for take off from ? I know it reverts to single ops about 12 midday, but not what time they start 2 runway ops

I believe the 2nd runway comes back on at 1500 local.

RWY 23L/05R
opens at 0630 til 1200 then 1500 til 2100 all times local . The closure times may may be slightly earlier dependant on traffic

The picture above is taken noon sharp on 5 September 2004 and this is what happened:

Tower: Qatari 042 - cleared for take off runway 24 left
QR042: ........
Tower: Qatari 042, do you read me?
QR042: ........
It didn't take many seconds before the Finns in the Air Scandic cockpit used words not in the normal vocabulary for radio communication, but finally after almost three minutes the Qataries found the correct frequency and could confirm their clearance for take off.

The Air Scandic Airbus A300 (flight SCY6971) took off from 24L four minutes past noon.
