I'm not sure if it's an attempt by a Nimby to break up the purple coalition, or if some chimp at Leuchars has posted this for real:
Petition to Disband the Army (http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Disband-the-Army/).
He wants the Army disbanded and the assets split between the RAF Regt and RM. How tasteless can you get? Can you imagine the RLC in drag? They'd never fit in with the RM!
The petitioner is allegedly a Gerald Farquhar and the silly Farquhar has (apparently) put his phone No on the petition with a Leuchars area code.
ARRSE have made a start at posting names in 'support' such as to ensure the petition doesn't last long tomorrow morning. Some PPRuNe support in quashing this may be appropriate. After all, why should they have all the fun?
