I truly have googled, yahoo'd, everything. Can't find the right stuff.

I'm looking for some animal noises, as wavs, recorded at 44.1

Anysort of generic whimpering, growling, nuzzling, howling, purring, "murring" (vixen) whatever.

Ideal creature would be fox and/or wolf but, unless it's obviously a chimp or elephant style scream, anything would do.

Anybody able to help either with directions to a suitable site or with prerecorded stuff?

Thanx.

Like this? Fox (apparently) (http://www.users.interport.net/a/n/andrewsl/sounds/fox.wav) - not 44.1 though. I googled 'sound clips'.
Here's another one Fox (http://www.brandens.net/files/Sounds/FX/Animals/FOXES_BR.WAV)
googled 'animal sounds wav 44.1'

"whimpering, growling, nuzzling, howling, purring, "murring" (vixen)"

Be careful what you google, results may vary, and for gods sake don't do it at work :}

I believe I know what 2nd life is about, but "furry"?

You know, with all this computer-based-virtual-life stuff being so cool and trendy and that, people are going to start saying "you ought to stay in more!"

"Get a second life" is doubtless on the way also.

:hmm:

but "furry"?

Boy, are YOU going to have an enlightening experience reading up on furries. Wikipedia is a good start. Then, of course, you'll want to check out WikiFur. Remember Cats? Imagine everyone dressed like that, not just the cast. If you're quick, you might be able to get over to Anthrofest, the International Anthropomorphics Festival. It's Fursuiter-friendly.

Bushfiva - you a Linden resident, too?

I live in Luskwood.

I'd heard of SL from numerous colleagues, but it wasn't until I read a piece in an airline in-flight magazine - which said not only could I be a furry, but I could make it fly - that I decided to have a look.

The comedy in there (especially in Luskwood) is phenomenal. Really funny.

Last Friday was quite surreal, I spent the evening sat in rows of beach chairs, surrounded by all sorts of furry creatures, whilst we all watched and listened to a live synthesizer concert by one of the residents. A Jean Michel Jarre style concert, live, free. Brilliant.

<edit: typo's (numerous)>

Keygrip, I occasionally visit SL for professional reasons, but I've never coughed up a hairball :)
