Anybody from here going? Is there definately not fuel because of environmental reasons, or has this changed? Lets hope there will be a kettle (one must get priorities right!)

I'll be flying in.....and an Open Virgin at that! (No nasty puns....thats the open golf, not an open virgin....if they exist....).

Anybody have any contact numbers, names etc for landing at the open?
All info gratefully received :}

Many thanks

Alan Mates of Helimates is your point of contact. The heliport is strictly PPR and runs on a slot time basis. Weather is looking good for the weekend ahead.

Landing fee's are £37.50 per seat.

See you there.

Was good this year, slightly damp when the weather wasn't on our side, bit boggy on Sunday. All the right facilities were there (although some disagreed), all in all well done chaps. Alan did a great job of keeping everyone running smoothly, loaders were efficient and coffee was hot!

See you next year! :ok:

Small company just started out last year. Nice chaps, 2 leased 206's, 1 pilot is what they told me at the weekend.

Jarvy, did you find any problems on the ground side with pilots and aircraft? Always nice to find out that what we were doing worked for ground crew.

Do Starflyer/Kapital only have 206s?

The Starflyer website says they operate/own A109s.

Is this true, or is it webspeak for "we can charter A109s for you"?

Not from what I have heard, maybe it's a "we can broker a A109 for you"???

I think one of their 206's is rented from another company down south.

As far I am aware the only A109 in Scotland is a privately owned one which sometimes spends nights at Edinburgh.

Both the 206 L's are leased from a company way down south.
I wasn't involved with the running of the helipad this year but have been in previous years.
