Hi --

Years ago, I remember reading a series of childrens books set in WWI, which featured a Royal Flying Corps pilot who was flying in France and the UK (afaicr it also featured his much more successful, and dashing, cousin, and his girlfriend)

I can't remember much else, apart from the often detailed (for a kids book) description of the various biplane models that his squadron encountered and were equipped with.

Does this ring a bell with anyone?

Would they be the Biggles books by Capt W.E Johns?

No definitely not the Biggles books - or any of the related series by W. E Jones (Worrals etc).

The series itself was fairly short (maybe three or four books in all), and all set during WWI - ISTR one of the books featured the main character hunting and failing to find a Zeppelin over London.
