I was wondering if any of you guys who have flown/fly 206's could pass on any tips about flying them, especially stuff that's not in the book,as these are the a/c most of us newbies will end up flying.I suppose you could include 207's and 210's.Thanks. Bruce

The 206 is a very fine airplane, flew them for many hundreds of hours in Zambia and Botswana in the mid and late 80's. Is is not a hard airplane to fly, and if it is well loaded there is very little problem. To find out if the C of G is were it should be, load the plane, sit on the tail and if the nose wheel gets back on the ground you should be OK, as you will be sitting at the control and bring GC slightly more forward. Now I am not saying that you have to fly it over its weights limit but depending on where you will be flying them you might have to do it, the plane is very capable to do it but remember keep safe, it is your life (if you are carying freight ) and the life of you pax..... .. .Never flew the 210 or the 207 for that matter but the 210 was a good work horse in Boswana, and I did come across 1 or 2 207 in those days again I think it is problably a fine aeroplane too.. .. .Good luck where ever you will be flying them as I recall those days with very good memories. The best experience yet. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="smile.gif" />

Keep the blue stuff on top, and the green stuff on the bottom!

I see this thread is also posted on 'Dunnunda & Godzone' where there are already over 50 posts. Suggest interested parties go there as it is one of the best posts I have seen on Pprune with some very interesting & relevent information for bush pilots.
