What's the latest on Air Afrique? Were they not in financial trouble as of late? Are they still around? What are they flying? <img src="cool.gif" border="0">

Air Afrique is OUT !

They have got plane sitting in the ground around west Africa for month. One of their A310 is in Douala ( Cameroon ) . I don't think they will find a buyer or someone crazy enough to re-start something who fail since they started .

Thank you Air France and the french gov who has been sponsoring them for years.

WOW where you pulled that 15000 USD from . Last Captain that jumpseated with me was making 1500 USD a month when it was a good month.

I think that the failure was more to the corrupt management filling their pockets than lack of business.

Cheers

Ah a contract guy... Thats a different pic. This fellow on the jumpseat was a local ( Congolese ) so he would have been employed on local terms. Quite different I guess.

Oh Hajj...

Air Atlanta is only one of the operators. some of the others are.

Air India. .Garuda. .Iran Air. .Malaysian Airlines. .Pakistan International. .TransJet. .Air Scandic to name a few

in previous years such companies as...

Finnair. .Tower Air. .Turk Hava Yollari

...have also participated in Hajj

Those aircraft in Air Afrique colors are apparently operated by a Turkish company ( MNG ? )
