BREAKING NEWS: WADDINGTON AIR SHOW CANCELLED
The second day of the Waddington International Air Show has been cancelled due to flooding.
Car parks at the base were badly affected by heavy rain last night and the decision to cancel the event was taken at around 8.30am this morning.
A spokesman for the base said that the show had been called off "for heath and safety reasons."
It is understood that the decision was in no way influenced by the terrorist attack on Glasgow Airport yesterday, although Lincolnshire Police has urged people to be on their guard.

A great shame the U.K. weather hits another diplay
With Air Display numbers being cut this year the public might have to travel a lot further to see an air show or on the other hand they might just not go at all.
With all the work that goes in to make a great day out with a flying display of three to four hours and all the other things that comes as a package to make it work it is always a let down when things are cancelled at the last.
Lets hope the Air Shows that are due over the next couple of months are not hit as well with out Summer or not so Summer Weather.
