Today this afternoon in Belgium following sad thing happend:

(translated from www.standaard.be)

One dead and one heavy injured at crash in Hasselt.

This saterday around 15.30 a sports aircraft crashed that took off from airport Kiewit and crashed later between Runkst en Stevoort.

An eyewitness said that the plane tried to make a looping, witch its eventually lost control and crashed in a private garden next to a pool.
There is one dead and one serious injured.

The survivor climbed out of the burning wreck. He had several broken bones but still tried to save his friend but did not succeed because of the burning heat. He was carbonised.

The survivor was brought to a local hospital having very heavy injuries and he is in critical condition.

R.I.P. and support to the families.. no further info on the aircraft type, it must be one of these probably (link of the club)

Sad, very sad.

However, none of the aircraft on that page, except the Pitts, is certfified for aerobatics.
It could not have been the Pitts, that on is a single seater.

It has also been known for people to aerobat non aerobatic machines - if this were the case here it shows why you should not do so!:uhoh:

today in the newspaper the survived pillot said he was trying to do a looping but did not succeed in it...

that means it was his passenger who died..

In the newspaper they also told that it as an ULM....
