Hey,

At 1917 tonight ( I know because I missed wheels to Sleaford by 2 mins!) a Cranberry over flew Cwl, heading north at about 1500 - 2000 ft. I guess he was heading to Waddo for the airshow. My question is was it an RAF ac, or on on the civi register, since I thought we'd retired them all?

Most likely en route to Waddo for this years airshow/sychronised swimming.

Its sitting (swimming) on the tarmac on the far side of Waddington Airfield. Can't make out the markings for you though so can't tell who owns it.

T'was indeed Classic Aviation's Canberra B2/6 operated by Air Atlantique's Classic Flight, it's stuck at Waddington waiting for a break in the weather for us to fly it back to Coventry, VFR only on ex military aircraft, we were trying for today but beaten by the rain again.

Thank you very much. I've been lucky enough to be various places over the last couple of years to see the Canberra (military) swan-song. Can't express my admiration enough!

Thanks again, long may she fly on the civi register.
