who's was the kenyan a/c that crashed the other day.
sound like it went down on the mau escarpment. any one know anythin.

The information I have from the Chairman of the Aero Club of East Africa is that the a/c in question was a standard C172, 5Y ALW, hired by an F/O from a far east airline on holiday in Kenya with his girlfriend. They were hoping to fly from the Maasai Mara direct to Lake Naivasha which involves flying over the Mau Escarpment (if memory serves me correctly terrain is up to 10,500'). They apparently were IMC in heavy rain and flew up a valley and stalled in. The plane it would apppear hit level but both were killed and the a/c written off.
