I'm looking for a flight navigation computer that does the lot and is compatible with a Mac ideally with Southern North sea rig data included.
Is there a hand held GPS out there with flight nav planning modes or do they tend to be separate units?
Any ideas or sound advice gratefully received.

Not quite sure, wheather you can link it to a mac - but if you want something reliable with no problems of working after getting a shower (which it might get when operating offshore) I would buy
https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=156&pID=6426#
But only, if my old Garmin GPS 90 stops working - which is fairly unlikely ;-)

Well Blue Rotor Ronin,

download the manual and you will see, that the little garmin helpers have all in, you need
From calculating sunrise and sunset at any given point, route planning (50 routes to be saved - you can fly them backwards as well), fuelplanning and so on, just select the fuelrate you burn and the winds.
Bye the way, my old GPS90 can do that as well.
