Was looking to book a ticket and found this on the BA website

Customers are advised that British Airways flights to and from London Heathrow are currently subject to delay or cancellation. We are also experiencing some disruption to our baggage operations.

Baggage handlers, CC crew, major sports event?

We were short of baggage handlers on Thursday and slightly delayed as a result. But I haven't heard anything through the intranet as yet.

Baggage problem has been an issue for a couple of weeks now. Flew Ncl - LHR a couple of weeks ago and it took well over an hour for baggage to be delivered in T1. Baggage staff were blaming new T5 working practices which have been introduced.

Passengers asked to call customer service to complain......but there was no-one home because it was Sunday.

Little better on return from Prg last weekend. Arrived nice and early but parked on a domestic stand and no steps, then no buses. Again a very lengthy delay for baggage in T1, with no explanation before complaining. This time apparently down to not enough staff on rosta.

Though all was supposed to be well at BA?

Suspect it may be a knock on from yesterdays thunderstorms around LHR. They usually get enough aircraft delayed, diverted or generally out of position to cause about 48hrs disruption.

The flippant answer is "how can you tell it's disruption? - it's always bad"
