Hi all,

flying MAX to IAD tomorrow but have just seen a report that yesterday equipment was changed from the MAX 767 due tech issues, the replacement airframe was not so hot by all accounts.

Calling MAX reservations confirmed an equipment change, but there own staff didn't know what type or even the operator it had been leased from!

Anyone out there got any info please? Anything would be much appreciated as I'm still on hold for the last 20mins to talk to the HQ in USA and about to give up!

THANKS

Miami Air International (http://www.miamiair.com) seem to have been flying a lot for them recently, I know nothing about the aircraft except they've been using a 737-800.

Thanks, seems it will be the 757 operated by Pace for the Dallas Mavericks, so at least I know that equipment and it shouldn't be too bad a replacement.

MAXjet is using temporary lift on certain Monday and Thursday rotations to Dulles. The substitute aircraft is N801DM, a VIP B757. The substitution should continue through next week.

Maxjet seem to be unlucky, as I know several clients who have been rerouted from the Lonson, Washington trips recently.

I am not familiar with the interior, but suspect it will be very subdued, and sedate, and so typical of the state of Texas.

As an aside, just what has happened to Maxjets frequent flyer program.

I have more VA miles as a result of Maxjets problems, but would like to be loyal to them.

A separate report says there is a Maxjet 767 AOG at Dulles with an engine removed.

I've seen a few flights depart STN while being operated by Miami Air (737-800)

What route do they take and where do they stop? Surely they don't operate in the NAT system?

The Miami Air B737-800 did Maxjet's Washington service for about 1 week after the B767 was AOG. Since then the Pace B757 has been used most of the time. I believe the B737 flew non-stop eastbound but routed via Gander westbound on at least one occasion.
