Did anyone flying in or out of Gatwick last saturday (2200L) see anything that resembled a UFO sighting? They were spotted from Tunbridge Wells looking west. No i haven't been on the strong fruit juice before anyone asks!!!!!!!

I'm going for the lanterns at the wedding.

It's a cert.

Have a look at this:

Glow sticks in helium filled party ballons possibly?

The shape of the lights strongly suggests spheres reflecting a single distant light source. At 10pm the sun will have set at ground level but not at a few thousand feet. Conclusion - party balloons reflecting the sun.

I like that one about the sunset - makes perfect sense.

Most helium party balloons are highly reflective Mylar types. Occam's Razor says setting sun/mylar balloons is somewhat more likely than Aliens bothering to peek at Tunbridge Wells for Gawd's sake!!!! :)

.....rising slowly into the sky....

I guess the aliens were disgusted with Tunbridge Wells.

I saw the same thing a few weeks ago about 15 miles north of Stansted on the M11.
