Where's the best website to find out what you can or cannot carry in your hand luggage.
I'm just concerned about whether the fluid amount is per container or cumulative.
Also any other restrictions appart from sharps [nail clippers etc] I know they can go in the hold.
Apologies if this has been discussed before or the info is in another thread.

Thanks for your help Udat.

How about... the airline you're flying with?

How about... the airline you're flying with?

Not always reliable - the airline probably should know, but it's the DfT who make and enforce the rules so ask them! http://www.dft.gov.uk/transportforyou/airtravel/airportsecurity

This assumes you are travelling within UK. If you are going to furrin lands, the rules can be different on your return (it's very lax out herein the mid-east - pax take enormous roller-cases on board which sometimes can't be even fitted into an overhead!)

I agree - the airport is the best source of info, not the carrier.

The good news is that, once you have gone through the UK screening, you can take whatever got through that just about anywhere.

Not everyone is as conscientious as your good self though.
