I'm not sure if I'm allowed to promote this here, but it is for a good cause, so 'ere goes:

Task Force Invitation XV vs Penguins International XV Twickenham Stoop - Saturday 16th June, 4pm

As the 2007 rugby season draws to a conclusion, the Nation will mark the 25th Anniversary of OPERATION CORPORATE and the British Armed Forces recapture of the Falkland Islands. The liberation of the islands will be commemorated with a rugby match and dinner in aid of the South Atlantic Medal Association 1982 at the NEC Harlequins home ground.

The theme is one of both commemoration and remembrance to honour the 255 men of the Task Force and the 3 Falkland Islanders killed before the Royal Marines were once again able to raise the Union flag over Government House in Port Stanley. Over 700 men were also wounded in action, many of whom now have great difficulty leading a normal life.

England's Josh Lewsey MBE - previously a member of the Royal Artillery - said: "In an age when we forget the sacrifices made by our military personnel, supporting the veterans and relatives of the Falklands Task Force through a sporting occasion is a fitting way to commemorate the campaign and the men and women who fought in the battles".
