I want to convert my Australian ATPL to an FAA ATPL, and need to complete an instrument check ride in the US. I would prefer to do this on an AS 350 (A Star) but all the schools I have contacted only have access to Robbies. Can anyone recommend an organisation in the US (preferably west coast) which has an A Star available? I just want to fly in, do the knowledge test and check ride and fly out again, all within a couple of days.

Helistream in Orange County, CA (SNA) can do this no problem. 3 AStars (2 B2s and a B3) and an examiner on staff. Give them a call, 714-662-3163.

Thanks for the help guys. I've sent emails to the schools you mentioned. Plenty of flight training schools out there but they all seem to have nothing but R22's and R44's. Surprised to see they even do instrument rating tests in R22's.
