Getting this programme over here.
Premise seems to be.....take two dumb, ignorant, poorly educated, semi-illiterate famillies and shove them on each others holidays where they are guaranteed to not enjoy themselves and sweat a lot.

You forgot to add that they need to fall out with each other. For this reason usually only one family is "dumb, ignorant, poorly educated, semi-illiterate " so that a bit of class friction can add to the "fun".
However, every now and again one of those "dumb, ignorant, poorly educated, semi-illiterate " families surprises you with what they actually do. As TV companies like to build suspense watch the ones where those types are shown on their holiday after the others.

Thats concidered good TV these days getting people to humiliate or make total prats of themseves in some way, or to have some arse frontmen like that Jerremy Kyle or Trisha creatures to do the humiliating with the help of a audience of howling chavs, lord knows what television will be like fifty years from now, unless the overdue reaction sets in of course, but I wont hold me breath.

Come on Drape's chin up - there is some good news. Sales of Prospect Magazine are growing whilst mainstream newspapers are slowing, John Lewis is growing quickly because it's bl**dy good, same story with Waitrose, research and development spending is at 2% of GDP which is pretty dammed high in comparison to other countries, all postgrad students in Europe see England as the place to get some quality experience, the finance industry in London employs 300,000 within one square mile yet has an economy the size of Poland, one day we'll have proportional representation and individual political parties and their leaders will become less powerful, and I'm rambling....
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!
