Hi,

Just a quick one, do the CAA consult with the NHS for your medical history, or is all done 'on the day'. (Class 1 Medical)

Cheers...:ok:

Is it done in one day?.The medical examinations are yes.Its a bit like a curcuit from one specialist to the next, from room to room

Do they consult your medical history ? No.If you fill in the application form and dont put anything that raises alarm bells like, Family history of heart problems etc it should be a straight forward extensive medical exam. Its when things like family history are mentioned that they then begin digging into it.So be very carefull how you answer these questions.I am not suggesting for one moment that you should not be truthfull in your answers, before anybody flames me,but consider them very carefully. There are people out there who have missed out on varied aviation related positions who might otherwise have had good career prospects. You will not recieve your result as to whether you have passed or not until the chappy who reads your ECG has read it.Now that can take up to 4 wks if he,s busy,so be prepared for some nailbiting times.
This was how mine went some time ago now but i dont suppose much has changed in that department.
Good luck.
PS make sure they give u a decent size housecoat otherwise your backside will be on view to all and sundry.
