does anyone know if you can claim tax deductions on your income tax for flight training? (united states)

It doesn't matter what country you're in - the advice is still the same! Go to a professional accountant; in the US, a CPA.

In Canada, you can deduct your flight training, plus an allowance for every month you're engaged in part-time of full-time training. Total savings: ~20-25%

I know that you can claim costs associated with attempting to gain employment, whether or not you are successful in gaining said employment.

If this training falls under this category, you may be able to claim it.

That's as far as my knowledge goes. As the poster above wrote, see an accountant for specific guidance.
