I cannot download or run anything from this site. The icons are X'ed out and when i select them I am told that they are not available. Another computer I have runs them OK and they both have the same XP Pro, P4 etc. The screen tells me I need the latest Flash player, so I downloaded it and no change. Anyone have a clue as to what might be wrong? Help please..

Guessing at Windows?:ugh:
Try reading this (http://http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread.php?t=251985&highlight=youtube) if you are using FF.

K, you say you have installed the latest flash player 'Currently version 9' and it still will not work.

Try this: Make sure you have Microsoft Java Virtual Machine 'Turned On'
to do this, with IE open click on tools, Internet options, advanced, Then scroll down too the Java settings and 'Turn On' the JIT compiler. click OK to close the page.

Click on Tools, Internet Options, Security. Under the 'Internet' section, select internet and then click the 'Custom Level' box, make 'No' changes too the radio buttons, just click on the security level box at the bottom and select either 'Medium-Low' or 'Low'. Make sure you then click the 'Reset' box followed by 'OK' to close the page.

Check your firewall is allowing Adobe with full privilages if not add them so the firewall will not block it's operations.

Finally if your using Microsofts SP2 firewall open same, even if you have it turned 'Off' and under the exceptions add 'Adobe Flash Player' to the list.

And try it again.

I have come across instances were each or combinations of have prevented correct access to Adobe flash operations and would guess others have more gliches to add to the list.

I tried all those, and the settings were the same as another computer that has no trouble with Youtube.
Cannot find the JIT compiler, it is not in the list. Says use JRE 1.5.0_10, as does my other computer.
Tried security settings MED/LOW.
Firewall does not have Adobe, except for Acrobat. Did a search for the flash player, it is not on my list of programs. The computer gets Flash Player through the browser each time it is needed?
Tried opening BOAC link but IE would not do it, said Unable.
Any other thoughts? I must have some program not loaded, since this is the only computer that does not work (and it is having trouble with other videos, pictures as well).
I am hard wired to the DSL connection.

To check whether Adobe Flash (and Shockwave) is installed and working, take a look here.

http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/

and you can double check here:

http://www.disney.co.uk/DisneyOnline/plugin/

Is Flash working on those pages?
