Can anyone recommend an accountant that has helped you becoming self employed in the rotary industry. Particulary interested in help with VAT and income tax.
I'm in the London area but It shouldn't matter where they are now days with telephones and internet.

I would recommend Peter Ruffoni on 01322 310610, based in Bexley, Kent.

He did my accounting when I worked for myself as a freelance helicopter pilot, so he knows quite a lot about it all.

I thought that there was one who contributed here reasonably regularly who was pretty hot stuff in that department, accountancy I mean, and- a practicing pilot??:)

If you're thinking of me Topend, I'm ...er... not that sort of Chartered Accountant. We come in different varieties and, whilst I can point people in the right direction, I can't give specific advice as it's a long time since I was practising (never did get it right!) tax.

Cheers
